Sharing Rail Industry Insights with Future Engineers

Thursday October 9, 2025

Interface Rail Engineering was proud to support the next generation of engineers as Alex Wilkinson recently presented to Monash University engineering students.

Alex’s presentation provided an overview of the railway industry in Victoria, highlighting the distinct requirements of each Accredited Railway Transport Operator and exploring how engineers contribute to the asset management of rail infrastructure.
Through practical examples and case studies, students gained insight into how engineering principles are applied within operational rail environments.

Engaging with emerging engineers is an important way for us to share industry knowledge, spark curiosity, and build capability within the future workforce.

We thank Associate Professor Asadul Haque and Monash University for the opportunity to collaborate and look forward to continuing to connect with and inspire the engineers shaping the future of rail.
